New Board Member
Board member Pat Casey has resigned due to family obligations. At our March 12 meeting, we appointed Shauna Kingstone to fill that position until our next AGM in the Fall. Thank you Shauna, for your interest in the WIHS.
Friday, March 29,2019 9:30 – 10:45 AM, Town Hall
This semester Lucy Warren, a Queen’s University History student, has been doing an intern course with us. Lucy has continued to inventory archival materials in the Town Hall attic. Between her work and the work done by Nick Darragh during the Fall semester, about 25% of the attic contents will be inventoried by April.
On March 29 (9:30, Town Hall), Lucy will give a short presentation on her work. After Lucy’s presentation, Paul Banfield, Queen’s University Archivist will talk about the next steps required to begin moving these Wolfe Island materials over to Queen’s Archives. We’ll end with a general discussion of how to make all this happen.
All who are interested are welcome to attend. And…refreshments too!
