If you have visited the Old House Museum recently, you may have noticed the large lighthouse light displayed outside.
What many people don’t know is that this navigation light once served at the historic Québec Head Lighthouse on the eastern tip of Wolfe Island. After spending years in storage and later becoming part of the collection at the Great Lakes Museum in Kingston, the light was returned home to Wolfe Island in 2024.
Discover the history of the Québec Head Lighthouse and learn how this important piece of Wolfe Island’s maritime heritage found its way back to the island.
