A Journey from Ireland to Minnesota
with a Wolfe Island connection
This talk by Jannet L. Walsh of Murdock, Minnesota details her research into a family history of immigration from Ireland. Initially, ancestors settled on Wolfe Island, but attracted by some powerful incentives and a sense of community, they later moved to Minnesota. The Walsh family history is a fascinating tale of one family’s journey to the New World. Jannet’s book on the subject, Higgledy-Piggledy Stones: Family Stories from Ireland and Minnesota will be published by Ashanti Press in late 2023.
